The Last Train
A great meal, a binge, a visit from card players, an intrigue, a good nights sleep, and a strangers monologue, are all simple common actions. We are all connected by the simplicity of the actions of everyday life, but no two people are on a train for the exact same reason, we all have our own personal imperfections, or better, our own little unique traits, that make our existence different from everyone else. Yes, we are all on the same train, and we all see the same scene, it is the same surrounding for everyone on that carriage, but my life experience is not the same as the one that the woman sat next to me has had. it is the same direction the train is taking us to, but I am not getting off at the same stop that the family in the first carriage of the train is, we are all travelling to different destinations in our lives. This project, shot in England, Poland and Romania documents the very last train leaving different stations. From poor areas, to rich areas, long journeys to short journeys, this book, and project delves deep into the lives of the people on The Last Train.
